Overview

The 1/4 tube x 1/8 NPT push-in swivel male elbow connects imperial nylon air-brake tube to a female threaded port while redirecting the line through 90 degrees. Its swivel base allows the push-in outlet to be aimed after the threaded section has been tightened, making it better suited to restricted installations than a fixed elbow.

Compatibility and Fitment

Confirm the tube measures 1/4″ across its outside diameter and the receiving component has a 1/8 NPT female port. Do not substitute 6mm metric tube or a similarly sized BSP thread. Also confirm that a swivel elbow is required rather than the fixed version, as the two fittings handle final outlet positioning differently.

Cut the tube square, remove burrs and push it completely through the collet until it reaches the internal stop. Compliance and Safety

Depressurise the complete pneumatic circuit before fitting the elbow or releasing the tube. Inspect the tube sealing area for scoring, flattening, contamination or heat damage, and replace damaged tube rather than relying on the collet to seal a worn surface.

Tighten the male thread through the appropriate body section without forcing the swivel joint. Position the outlet so the connected tube remains free from tension, then restore pressure gradually and leak-test the threaded port, swivel joint and push-in connection.
