Push-In Fixed Male Elbow 1/4 Tube x 1/8 NPT Air Fitting
Push-In Fixed Male Elbow 1/4 Tube x 1/8 NPT Air Fitting
$8.50
Fixed 90-degree brass push-in male elbow for connecting 1/4″ outside-diameter nylon air-brake tube to a 1/8 NPT female port.
Part number 88-005-0402.
Description
Overview
The 1/4 tube x 1/8 NPT push-in fixed male elbow connects imperial nylon air-brake tube to a female threaded port while turning the line through 90 degrees. Its non-swivel body suits compact installations where the final tube direction is set by tightening the threaded connection into position.
Features
- Push-in port accepts 1/4″ outside-diameter imperial nylon tube
- 1/8 NPT male thread connects to a compatible female port
- Fixed 90-degree elbow redirects the tube without forming a tight bend
- Brass body incorporates the collet, tube grip and internal pneumatic seal
Specifications and Materials
This QAF5 fixed male elbow combines a 1/4″ push-in tube connection with a 1/8 NPT male pipe thread. The non-swivel configuration keeps the completed fitting rigid once installed, while the push-in end releases by depressing the collet after the system has been depressurised. Part number: 88-005-0402.

Compatibility and Fitment
Confirm the tube measures 1/4″ across its outside diameter and the receiving port carries a 1/8 NPT female thread. Do not substitute 6mm metric tube, a BSP threaded elbow or the swivel version of this fitting. Because the body is fixed, allow for the elbow orientation to change as the tapered NPT thread is tightened.
Cut the tube square, remove burrs and push it fully through the collet to the internal stop. These cross-references show where this part replaces the part numbers and applications listed. Some installations may need minor changes. DQ69DOT0402, 1869X4, AQ69-DOT-4X2, AQ69DOT4X2, 169PTCNS-4-2, 169PTCNS42, PL1315-4A, PL13154A, S269PMTNS-4-2, S269PMTNS42, 95433104M
Compliance and Safety
Depressurise the complete air circuit before installing the elbow or releasing the tube. Inspect the tube sealing area for scoring, flattening, contamination and heat damage. Apply tightening force through the body flats without twisting the push-in connection, and keep thread-sealing material out of the air passage.
Route the nylon tube without tension against the fixed elbow. Restore pressure gradually, then leak-test both the threaded port and push-in connection before returning the system to service.
Trailer Applications
Workshops fit this elbow where a 1/4″ air line must enter a valve, manifold, pneumatic control or reservoir accessory through a 1/8 NPT port at a right angle. The fixed body suits protected installations where the required outlet direction can be established during tightening.

Why Choose ICS Trailers
Fixed and swivel elbows can look similar but behave differently during installation. Send a clear photo and confirm the tube outside diameter, thread type and required outlet direction if the existing fitting is difficult to identify.
