Compatibility and Fitment

Confirm that both tube sections measure 5/32″ across the outside diameter. This imperial size is very close to 4mm, but 4mm metric tube must not be substituted because the sealing and gripping fit may differ.

Cut both tube ends square, remove burrs and push each line fully into the internal stop. Pull back lightly to confirm that both collets have engaged. Depressurise the complete pneumatic circuit before cutting the tube or releasing either collet. Inspect the sealing area for scoring, flattening, contamination and heat damage. Trim back or replace damaged tube rather than attempting to seal over a worn surface.

Support the repaired line so it remains straight through the union without side load. Restore pressure gradually, then leak-test both push-in connections before returning the vehicle or trailer to service.
