Overview

This swivel male elbow redirects 1/2in SAE J844 air brake tube through 90° into a 1/4in NPTF female port. Its rotating base positions the outlet before tube insertion, helping the larger air line meet a smaller threaded port without twisting.

Cut the tube square and remove burrs. Push the line to the internal stop, then tug gently to confirm the gripping teeth have engaged. Keep extra compound clear of the bore because the thread is pre-sealed. Depressurise before disconnection, then pressurise and leak-test both joints after assembly.
