Overview
This swivel male elbow turns 1/2in SAE J844 air brake tube through 90° into a 3/8in NPTF female port. The rotating base sets outlet direction after tightening, so it prevents tube twist at valves, reservoirs and manifolds.

Cut the tube square, remove burrs and insert it to the internal stop. Then pull back gently to confirm the teeth grip. Keep added sealant out of the air passage because the male thread already carries sealant. Depressurise before releasing the collet, then leak-test both connections.
