Overview

Designline rear direction indicator lamp replaces the rear indicator module in compatible Hella Designline and Jumbo lamp assemblies. It suits horizontal module positions and gives trailers a clear amber rear indicator without changing the whole lamp assembly. Because it runs on Multivolt input, it suits 12V and 24V trailer electrical systems.

Specifications and Materials

This Designline rear direction indicator lamp uses a four point recess mount and a 200mm pre-wired lead. It consumes 6W on the rear indicator circuit and includes reverse polarity protection with a 5000W transient voltage suppressor.

Compatibility and Fitment

Check the lamp housing, module orientation, wiring, voltage and indicator monitoring setup before ordering. This horizontal module matches Hella Designline series lamp housings and updates globe type Jumbo or Designline lamp modules. If the vehicle needs HCS indicator failure monitoring, use the HCS version instead.

Compliance and Safety

Confirm ADR 6/00 Cat 2a installation requirements and keep the module reference axis aligned with the vehicle longitudinal axis. Also check the drain hole, protect the cable from chafe and solder with heat-shrink for a sealed joint. The module does not include a reflex reflector, so fit a separate reflector where the trailer layout needs one.
