Overview

The 1/4 BSP male female T handle ball valve provides compact quarter-turn isolation in a threaded compressed-air line. Its full-bore passage and one male plus one female connection allow direct installation between compatible fittings or equipment without adding a separate nipple.

Compatibility and Fitment

Confirm that both mating connections are 1/4″ BSP and that the installation requires male-to-female flow isolation. Do not substitute a 1/4″ NPT valve, female-to-female valve or mini reduced-bore valve solely because the nominal size appears the same. Apply suitable thread sealant only to the male connection and keep excess sealing material out of the valve bore.

Compliance and Safety

Depressurise the line before fitting, removing or servicing the valve. Hold the hex section nearest the connection being tightened so installation torque is not transferred through the body joint. After assembly, move the handle fully between both positions and pressure-test the threaded connections and closed valve for leakage. Keep adequate clearance around the T handle so nearby hose, brackets or chassis components cannot prevent complete operation.
