Overview

The 1/4 NPT male run tee divides a threaded pneumatic connection while keeping the male port in line with one female port. A second female port branches from the body at 90 degrees, creating a compact three-way connection for valves, adaptors and other air-system components.

Unlike a branch tee, the male thread sits on the straight passage rather than the perpendicular branch. This orientation matters where nearby components limit how the tee can be positioned.

Compatibility and Fitment

Before ordering the 1/4 NPT male run tee, compare all three port positions with the fitting being replaced. Confirm the male connection belongs on one end of the straight run and that the female branch faces the required direction.

Check the thread type as well as the nominal size. NPT and BSP fittings can look similar but use different thread forms. Allow enough clearance to rotate the complete tee into the receiving port without the body striking nearby pipework or equipment.

Compliance and Safety

Depressurise the system before installation. Clean the mating threads and apply compatible pneumatic thread sealant to the male connection while keeping excess material out of the internal passage.

Hold the brass body with the correct tool during tightening. Restore pressure gradually and leak-test all three connections. Overtightening can damage the threads or strain the connected component.
