Compatibility and Fitment

Confirm that the replacement requires the male connection on the straight run. A male branch tee can use the same thread sizes while placing the male port at 90 degrees, so it will not produce the same connection layout.

Check all three mating threads for the correct nominal size and thread form. NPT, NPTF, NPSF and BSP fittings can appear similar but must not be selected by diameter alone. Allow enough surrounding clearance to rotate the complete tee into the receiving port during installation.
