Description

Overview

The 1/4 NPT branch tee creates a right-angle take-off from a straight threaded pneumatic line. It has two opposed 1/4 NPT female ports through the brass body and one 1/4 NPT male port on the perpendicular branch.

This configuration allows a threaded air connection to divide into two directions without adding a separate nipple and female tee. The solid body also provides broad flats for holding the fitting during installation.

Features

  • One 1/4 NPT male branch connection
  • Two opposed 1/4 NPT female ports
  • Male port positioned at 90 degrees to the straight passage
  • Solid brass body with integral tool flats

Specifications and Materials

This No.35B male branch tee uses equal 1/4 NPT threads across all three connections. The male thread forms the perpendicular branch, while the two female ports run through the main body. No tube nuts, olives or inserts are required for the threaded connections.

Part number: 02N35B-04.

Compatibility and Fitment

Confirm that the adjoining components use 1/4 NPT threads and that the male connection is required on the branch rather than on one end of the straight passage. A male run tee places the male thread in a different position and will not create the same connection layout.

Also distinguish NPT from BSP before ordering. These thread systems can appear similar, but their thread form and sealing characteristics differ.

Compliance and Safety

Depressurise the pneumatic system before removing or fitting the tee. Clean the receiving thread and apply compatible pneumatic thread sealant to the male connection without allowing excess material to enter the internal passage.

Hold the brass body with a correctly sized tool while tightening adjoining fittings. Restore pressure gradually and leak-test all three joints before returning the system to service. Avoid overtightening because excessive force can damage the brass threads or connected components.

Trailer Applications

Trailer workshops use male branch tees when a threaded air supply needs to divide across two female connections at the same point. The compact three-port layout suits pneumatic repairs, air-line alterations and workshop compressed-air assemblies where all connections use 1/4 NPT threads.

Why Choose ICS Trailers

Branch tees and run tees are easily confused because the port sizes may be identical while the male thread sits in a different position. Compare the orientation of the old fitting, or send photos showing all three ports if you need help identifying the correct configuration.
