Overview

The 12V 85A continuous duty solenoid lets a low-current control circuit switch a high-current DC load. Its normally open SPST contact closes when the insulated coil energises for auxiliary power and control circuits.

Specifications and Materials

The body measures 84mm wide, 64mm deep and 60mm high. Its flat bracket has 8mm x 15mm mounting slots on 56mm centres. Terminal nuts and washers are included.

Compatibility and Fitment

Confirm the vehicle uses a 12V coil, an 85A continuous load rating, a four-stud insulated configuration and normally open SPST action. The main mismatch risks are selecting a grounded-coil or 24V solenoid, or choosing different terminal threads or bracket spacing.

Compliance and Safety

Disconnect the battery before installation. Size the cable and circuit protection for the actual load, keep the continuous current within the rated limit, and tighten the terminal hardware without allowing the studs to rotate.
