Compatibility and Fitment

Confirm that the tube has a 1/4″ outside diameter and the receiving component has a 1/4 NPT female port. The first measurement refers to the tube size, while the second refers to the male pipe thread. Do not substitute 6mm metric tube or a 1/4 BSP threaded fitting, as the dimensions and thread forms differ.

Cut the tube square, remove burrs and push it fully into the connector until it reaches the internal stop. Pull back lightly to confirm that the tube has engaged. Compliance and Safety

Depressurise the air system before installing, removing or releasing the tube. Inspect the tube near the sealing area for scoring, flattening, contamination or heat damage. Tighten the connector through the body hex rather than applying force through the push-in end, and prevent thread-sealing material from entering the air passage.

After installation, pressurise the system gradually and check both the threaded port and tube connection for leakage. Replace damaged tube rather than shortening it repeatedly where the remaining section cannot reach the fitting without tension.
