Compatibility and Fitment

This 75mm fixed ring coupling connects to a compatible pintle hook rather than a conventional 50mm towball. Confirm the towing vehicle uses a suitable pintle connection and that the complete towing arrangement meets the required load rating.

Before installation, measure the existing drawbar mounting holes against the 183 x 53mm pattern and 16.8mm hole diameter. Check the drawbar thickness, mounting plate condition, bolt specifications and available clearance around the towing eye.

The fixed design does not operate an overrun braking mechanism. Confirm the trailer braking system is suitable for a fixed coupling before fitting.

Compliance and Safety

The 6000kg rating applies to off-road agricultural use, while the specified on-road rating is 3500kg. Do not treat the higher off-road capacity as approval for 6000kg on-road towing.

Use appropriately rated high-tensile mounting hardware and follow the coupling manufacturer’s installation requirements. Inspect the ring for wear, cracking or distortion, and check the mounting bolts and mating pintle hook before towing.

The complete towing capacity is limited by the lowest-rated component in the vehicle, drawbar and coupling arrangement.
