Overview

The 1/2in tube x 1/4 NPT air brake male connector creates a straight compression transition from imperial nylon air-brake tube into a female threaded port. This variant combines a 1/2in tube connection with a compact 1/4 NPT male end.

Its brass body and preassembled tube insert suit transport air-brake plumbing using J844A or J844B nylon tube. The male thread carries red sealing compound for installation into the matching NPT port.

Compatibility and Fitment

Confirm a 1/2in tube outside diameter and 1/4 NPT female port before ordering. Do not confuse tube diameter with pipe-thread size or substitute the nearby 1/4 BSPT version, which uses a different thread form. Depressurise the system before installation. Hold the body with a spanner while tightening the compression nut, then restore pressure and leak-test the tube connection and threaded port. Replace damaged tube, distorted olives or marked sealing surfaces.
