Overview

The 3/8 x 1/8 NPT male connector joins 3/8-inch outside-diameter nylon air-brake tubing to a 1/8 NPTF female pipe port. Its straight brass body connects the tube to smaller threaded pneumatic ports without an adaptor.

Match the 3/8 x 1/8 NPT male connector to 3/8-inch OD (9.525mm) nylon air-brake tube and a 1/8 NPTF female port. The 1/8-inch figure is the nominal pipe thread, not a tube dimension. BSP and NPT threads differ, even when they appear similar. Check tube wall thickness against the internal support.

Compliance and Safety

Depressurise the circuit before removal. Cut the tube squarely, discard damaged ends and insert it fully into the collet. Tighten through the hex using the specified NPTF sealing method, without overtightening the small port. Restore pressure gradually and leak-test both connections.
