Overview

The push pull air valve manually switches a compressed-air circuit between supply and exhaust through a three-port, two-position configuration. Its G1/4 BSP ports and compact 200 Series body suit truck and trailer equipment requiring direct pneumatic control without an electrical actuator.

The valve carries separate P, A and R ports for pressure supply, controlled output and exhaust. Pulling or pushing the fitted knob changes the internal flow path, allowing the connected circuit to be pressurised in one position and vented in the other.

Compatibility and Fitment

Confirm the G1/4 BSP thread form, three-port layout, two-position operation and available mounting space before ordering. The main mismatch risks are selecting a similar five-port valve, an NPT-threaded version or a spring-return model with different operating behaviour.

Connect the pressure supply to P, the controlled air line to A and the exhaust path to R. Compare the pneumatic symbol and existing line positions before removing the old valve, as incorrect plumbing may prevent the circuit from exhausting or cause the controlled equipment to operate in the opposite position.

Compliance and Safety

Fully depressurise the pneumatic system before disconnecting any air line. Keep swarf, thread sealant and contamination out of the ports, then support the aluminium body while tightening the fittings to avoid twisting or cracking the housing.

Do not exceed the stated working pressure. Restore air gradually, check all three connections for leakage and confirm that the outlet pressurises and exhausts correctly in both knob positions. Do not substitute this general directional valve into a service or emergency brake-control circuit unless it is approved for that exact function.
