Confirm that 1/4in refers to the tube outside diameter and that the equipment port uses a 3/8 BSPT female thread. The main ordering risk is reversing the two sizes or substituting NPT or parallel BSP because the threads can appear similar. Cut the tube square, remove burrs, push it fully through the collet and lightly pull back to confirm engagement.

Compliance and Safety

Depressurise the pneumatic system before installation or removal. Tighten through the metal hex rather than twisting the composite elbow body, and avoid overtightening the tapered thread. Inspect the pre-applied sealant and tube end for damage, then leak-test both connections after pressure is restored.
